Leeza Gibbons is currently the co-host of America Now, the nightly syndicated TV news magazine and the TV show My Generation (on PBS stations). For 17 years she also has hosted and produced the nationally syndicated radio program Hollywood Confidential.
Leeza served as Executive Producer of her talk show, Leeza, which debuted on NBC in 1994 and continued nationally through 2000. Leeza garnered 27 Daytime Emmy Nominations, including both Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host, and won three. During the series run, Leeza’s impact on television would be recognized with one of Hollywood’s highest honors: a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
But while Leeza has three decades in front of the camera on shows like ET, EXTRA and Leeza, she is most proud of being mom to Lexi, Troy and Nathan and wife of Steven.
She has also undertaken an extraordinary array of entrepreneurial, charitable and advocacy endeavors. With her never-ending entrepreneurial creativity and a mind for business-building, Leeza formed Leeza Gibbons Enterprises (LGE) in 1994, and since then she has produced and developed projects, partnerships and products that reflect her passions and concerns.
One of the greatest gifts in Leeza’s life has been the opportunity to honor her mother’s legacy and her family’s journey through her mother’s Alzheimer’s disease. In 2002, she created The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and its signature program Leeza’s Place, offering free services for family caregivers who are caring for someone they love who is sick or dying. She is the author of Take Your Oxygen First: Protecting Your Health and Happiness While Caring for a Loved One with Memory Loss. Lisa’s newest book, “Take 2: Your Guide to Happy Endings and New Beginnings,” will be debuted at The Big Book Club Getaway this coming February.
